I have to do some sewing today to fill the orders I received from the Christmas in July Spectacular. I hope to have them all complete by this weekend but that is no small task with 2 munchkins running around my ankles all day. lol

The Christmas in July Spectacular went fairly well. I was hoping to sell a couple more dresses but 4 sales is better than none! Thank you to all that bought a mosspink dress or skirt. You won't be disappointed!

New machine and new dresses

I bought a new sewing machine last week! I didn't splurge (although I really wanted to). My local sewing center was having an awesome sale. I got a manual Husqvarna Viking machine. I can trade up within a year. Exciting!

I was asked by a friend to make a pillow case dress for her baby girl. It wasn't hard to make. I hope to list them in my store soon!

Back in business

My earlier post was a bit premature. I didn't think my wonderful live-in handy man could fix it!But he did! Let the sewing commence!

Devastated

I have been cranking out dresses, headbands, and skirts like a madwoman lately. This morning I had every intention on completing all of my orders before going on a mini-vacation. I turned on my trusty Singer sewing machine and it seemed a little slow. I continued sewing and it started beeping and just quit working all together. :-( I can't believe it! Just when everything was going so well. Now I have to buy a new sewing machine. Ugh. It is such a daunting task. But hopefully I will be back in a few days with a brand spankin' new machine!
